THE SHORT ANSWER
Prepare served route/event results, actual travel and service costs, vehicle/kitchen rights and location/commissary terms before marketing a food truck. Resolve proposed buyer activities and permissions with the responsible authorities and providers. Define permanent cooking/driving work and accepted-event duties. A vehicle title, event calendar and social following do not establish profitable operations or continued access to every spot.
Reconcile served locations and event results
Separate street/route trading, private bookings, festivals and other offered services. Trace fulfilled POS/orders and event invoices through discounts, refunds, organizer or platform fees, settlement and collection. Reconcile annual accounts without counting the same booking, invoice and deposit as separate sales. Show actual service dates, weather cancellations, travel and seasonal closures.
Include ingredients/waste, packaging, cooking/service labor, driving, fuel, vehicle/kitchen repairs, commissary, storage, location/event fees and administration. Separate accepted bookings and deposits from completed trading. Use the food-truck financial guide for specified event costs and supported annual earnings. A sold-out event is separate from cash after travel, labor and venue charges.
Prepare usable truck and kitchen evidence
List the offered vehicle, installed kitchen, refrigeration, power/generator equipment and other assets with title, liens, leases, identifiers, maintenance, condition and needed investment. Arrange appropriate mechanical and mobile-kitchen inspection. Separate owned equipment from hired or provider-owned items; a vehicle title alone does not establish the condition or rights for the installed kitchen.
Match demonstrated cooking, service and travel capacity to actual schedules and available people. Document actual downtime and pending repairs. A new generator, menu file or nameplate capacity does not independently prove the whole unit is usable for the proposed service.
Resolve actual commissary, location and authority conditions
Review actual commissary access, storage, utilities, hours, rent, cancellation and ownership-change terms. Read route, parking, event and private-site arrangements for what is committed, permitted or merely expected. Use the consent register to record actual approvals; familiar trading spots are not automatically buyer rights.
